the SBLA28SUB is a high-performance subwoofer system. The SBLA28SUB can be flown or ground-stacked and possesses high output capability with low-frequency extension. Dual ultra-long excursion 18" (460mm)/4" (100mm) V.C. drivers are front-loaded face-to-face to augment the output SPL. The rear of the driver is reflex-loaded to extend the LF output to below the natural cut-off point. This technique combines the high efficiency of horn loading with the extended low-frequency response of a reflex enclosure. The SBLA28SUB gains a high output SPL from a more compact enclosure. The proprietary rigging system of the SBLA28R is directly compatible with the SBLA12. It is quick to assemble and allows a wide range of array curvatures. All cabinet rigging hardware is integral and remains captive in transit. The SBLA28SUB is constructed from multi-laminate birch plywood and fitted with generously sized handles and wheel board for transportation. To resist the ingress of water, the driver cone is treated with a waterproof lacquer.
